An injection moulded plastic component (1) with a high SG comprises a polypropylene body (2) with a high level of a metal filler ensuring that the compoennt (1) is electrically conductive in a high voltage field. A decorative coating (3) on the component is applied by powder coating in a high voltage field of 20-80 kV and the component (1) is finally heated at 160 deg. C to bake on the coating (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - The component replaces a zinc pressure die cast sanitary fitting which is relatively expensive and the process permits powder coating of plastics. (1/1)
