A 3-D interaction device for use with computers, comprising a base (2) which is adapted to be moved on a surface, and a housing (3) which is mounted on the base so as to be movable relative to the base, back and forth along the "longitudinal" axis ("pitch"), laterally pivotable from side to side ("roll") and rotatable about the vertical axis of the base ("yaw"). Thus, the device can be used as a "3-D" input transducer while still being conveniently supported on a surface.
