A tool for supporting and aligning pasted strip-lengths of paper during application to a ceiling, has a head (1) mounted on a telescopic sprung pole (2) which is to mount on a decorator's extension pole (figure 2) then extended to a length between floor and ceiling. The telescopic sprung hole (2) urges flange-pieces (5) at either end of a tubular cross-bar (3) of the head (1) against the ceiling with the cross-bar (3) spaced from the ceiling. The cross-bar (3) has a smooth, clear, surface between the flange-pieces (5) over which the pasted paper, hanging under its own weight from the head (1), can be drawn up for application to the ceiling. A handle (4) beneath the cross-bar (3) enables the head (1) to be depressed by hand against the action of the sprung pole (2) and pushed to tilt the sprung pole (2) towards the hanging paper so as to draw and align the paper up over the cross-bar (3) against its hanging weight along the line of application to the ceiling. |
