The electrodes (14) are connected to an alternating voltage. Each electrode is made up of two parts (16, 18) electrically insulated (20) from each other. The two parts are arranged behind each other along the axis of the cable (10). The surface of the electrodes is adapted to the O.D. of the object with its width greater than its depth. The same part of each electrode is connected to a common pole (28, 30) of the electrical source.
