A mobile chassis (1) for removing, conveying and cutting up silage from a silo, when in an upright position of its lifting frame (2), has forward projecting tines (3) at the bottom, and a height adjustable U-shaped cutting frame (4). The lifting frame (2) is pivoted at the bottom on the chassis (1) to enable it to collapse into a virtually horizontal position. The lifting frame (2) also has another associated rack (5) above the cutting frame (4), which is height adjustable, and the whole frame (2) incorporates a conveyor (6) running its full length.
