摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve the optimum contrast processing for each of a plurality of areas to be diagnosed by arranging an anatomical area decision means to determine a plurality of desired image areas, a contrast processing conditions decision means to determine contrast processing conditions for each image area and a contrast processing means to perform a contrast processing of a radiation image in each image area. CONSTITUTION:X rays from an X ray irradiator 1 pass through an object 2 and irradiate a radiation conversion panel 3. The panel 3 is irradiated with an accelerated phosphorescence excitation light from a light source 4. As a result, light emitted is inputted into a photoelectric converter 6 through a filter 5 and converted therewith 6 into a voltage signal proportional to an intensity of the emission to be outputted to an image reader 7. The reader 7 converts the voltage signal inputted into a digital image data to be outputted to an image processor 8. The processor 8 determines a plurality of desired image areas to be diagnosed by an anatomical area decision means 9 and determines the optimum contrast processing conditions for each image area by a contrast processing conditions decision means 10 based on statistical nature of the image data. Then, a contrast processing is performed by a contrast processing means 11 for each image area based on the optimum contrast processing conditions thereby enabling the obtaining of a high diagnosing performance over the entire area.
