<p>A device is provided for connecting a memory and/or microcomputer module (44) to processing hardware without using a connector or a specific interface circuit and while maintaining the portability of said module. Furthermore, the device acts as a pointing peripheral (47, 48, 49) so that, in a preferred embodiment, a mouse and the device's electronic circuitry are arranged to use common conductors (RXD, TXD, RTS, DTR) between the hardware and the device in order to allow both the pointing functions and the module's functions to be used.</p> |
