Differential pressure control valve with two pressure chambers - has diaphragm control action with compensation for fluid supply line pressure

The valve is used to control the supply of gas from a pressurised tank to gas i.c. engine. The gas is received by a tube (8) that connects to a supply duct (15) feeding a nozzle (16) in the inlet manifold. The inlet to the duct is via an annular orifice (27) formed by the position of a diaphragm plate (23) that respond to a pressure difference. The fluid supply pressure (P3) is applied to the underside of a control diaphragm. Movement takes place to maintain in a constant difference (P1-P2). ADVANTAGE - Maintains constant pressure difference.
