CONNECTOR BLOCK AND TERMINAL

A connecting block (10) is provided which comprises two interlocking parts (12, 14) including a retainer (12) and a snap-on cover (14). Both the retainer (12) and cover (14) include internal cavities which are sized to receive a plurality of spaced terminal clips (16) and retain the clips in a precise orientation. Each of the terminal clips (16) has a novel V-shaped configuration wherein a stripping slot (100) is located at the base of the V. Two embodiments of clips are disclosed including a single contact (16) and a dual contact (18) clip. Both the single and dual contact clip (16, 18) embodiments include cantilevered members (94) for circuit testing. Thus, the connecting block of this invention will permit either parallel test access or break test access.
