<p>The cleaning carriage comprises an open chamber (10) covering the knitting elements (3, 4), a blowing nozzle (16, 17) fed with compressed air and oriented inside the chamber (10) towards the elements, and a chimney (11) connected to the chamber (10) for the removal of the polluted air and the collection of the waste, for example in a bag (13). For a double-section knitting machine, the chamber (10) covers the knitting elements of the two sections (1, 2), the chimney (11) opens out in the plane of symmetry of the sections, and there are two blowing nozzles (16, 17) oriented towards the chimney (11).
