PURPOSE:To prevent the increment of data volume due to compression processing by adopting data having less data volume out of data obtained before and after data compression processing. CONSTITUTION:Data compression processing is applied to a 1st data to form a 2nd data and the data volume of the 1st data is compared with that of the 2nd data. The 1st data (d) when the data volume of the 1st data is less than that of the 2nd data, or the 2nd data (b) when the data volume of the 2nd data is less than that of the 1st data are adopted as data together with identification(ID) information (leading bit) for identifying the 1st or 2nd data. Thus, the data volume of compressed data can be prevented from being increased much more the data volume of the original data. |
