Process for the utilization of organic wastes for producing biogas and agricultural products.

Process for treating organic wates, particularly piggery waste effluents (PWE) by menas of a series of biologically integrated treatment process, whereby organic contanninating compunds are transformed in useful products: biogas and products useful in agriculture and horticulture. The process comprising a) separation of the wastes into a solid and a liquid fraction; b) high-rate anaerobic digestion of said liquid fraction; c) anaerobic digestion of the solid fraction from step a together with the excess of anaerobic sludge; d) separation of sludges from step c; e) aerobic maturation of the solid fraction from step d and f) separation of the liquid effluent from step b of the biomass.
