EXAMPLE:An AIS-2M-3 shown by the formula III. USE:Exhibiting carcinostatic, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activity. PROCESS:A compound shown by the formulaIwherein R is a group except 3- furyl group is obtained by cultivating a bacterium such as Streptomyces Y-1336 strain(FERM-P 5920) belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing the compound, in a nutritive medium, collecting it from the culture solution. A compound(AIS-2M-8 shown by the formula IV) wherein R is 3-furyl group is obtained by heating AIS-2M-6 shown by the formula V, followed by eliminating acetic acid. |
