摘要 |
PURPOSE:To provide abrasive grains having high toughness at a low cost under a relative mild condition by adding diamond powder to non-diamond carbon and a non-metal catalyst and subsequently treating the mixture under a specific condition for the growth of diamond crystals having self shapes. CONSTITUTION:(A) Anon-diamond carbon such as graphite, (B) a non-metal catalyst such as Na2CO3 powder, and (C) natural or synthetic diamond powder having various particle diameters as a nucleus generation-accelerating agent are mixed with each other and subsequently heated at a temperature of >=1600 deg.C under a pressure of >=5.5GPa to form the objective abrasive grains having self shapes. |
