PURPOSE:To carry out stable machining at high processing velocity by controlling a processing liquid supply volume for electric discharge machining at a specific value against the processing volume of works and also controlling a supply pressure at a specific pressure level. CONSTITUTION:If a processing liquid supply volume for electric discharge processing is set at a rate of 400-3,000cc per one gram of processing volume, processing velocity becomes the maximum. In addition, a supply pressure for resisting against an electric discharge pressure is set at 10-100kg/cm<2>. Since the processing volume is determined by an energy applied to a processing clearance, a detection signal for processing power from a detection circuit 11 is inputted to a control circuit 10, controlling valves 8, 9, so that a processing liquid flow becomes the optimal value according to a processing volume. If controlled in this way, it is possible to remarkably improve processing velocity even under the same machining conditions. |
