<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a capacitor having large capacitance and stable temperature characteristics, by sintering en bloc dielectric layers of specified composition and insulator layer of specified composition sandwiching a capacitor part. CONSTITUTION:Porcelain composition whose main components is barium titanate (BaTiO3) and dielectric ceramics for temperature compensation is used as dielectric layer 4, 4 of a capacitor part 2, 2. The main component of insulator layers 4 sandwiching the capacitor part 2, 2 is the following in the region surrounded by points A, B, C, D, E, F in figure represented by weight ratio; magnesia (MgO), silica (SiO2), calcia (CaO) whose sum is 100 pts.wt., and barium oxide (BaO) whose part by weight exceeds 1 and less than 15. An insulator layer 1 contains at least one kind of crystalline phase out of the following; forsterite (Mg2SiO4), merwinite (Ca3MgSi2O8), monticellite (CaMgSiO4), akermanite (Ca2 MgSi2O7) enstatite (MgSiO3), or walstromite (BaCa2Si3O3). The insulator layers 1 sandwiching the capacitor part 2, 2' formed by the layer 4 and 4' and electrode layers 5 and 5' is baked at the same time, and these are turned into a unified sintered body.</p> |
