PURPOSE:To set a driver's seat to an optimum drive position by canceling an interlocking mode when an automobile is in a given state during interlocking of at least two of a driver's seat, a steering wheel, and a pedal for controlling drive. CONSTITUTION:A seat position operation switch 57 is connected to a control unit 56. Through operation of the switch 57 by a driver, a motor 35 for moving a seat is properly run to set the position in the longitudinal direction of a driver' s seat 11 to an optimum position matching a his own physical build. The position in the longitudinal direction of the driver's seat 11 is detected by a linear gauge 58, and the position in the longitudinal direction of a steering wheel 13 and the positions in the longitudinal direction of two pedals of an acceleration and a brake pedal are controlled by the control unit 56 according to a signal S1 therefrom. In this case, a running state detecting sensor 5 serving as an interlocking canceling means is connected to the control unit 56, and based on a signal S4 therefrom, a mode by which the driver's seat 11, the steering wheel 13 and two pedals of the accel and brake pedals are interlocked with each other is released. |
