PURPOSE:To excellently perform focusing at the time of photographing by moving a focusing lens by a motor so that focusing may be performed when a zoom lens state detection means detects that a zoom lens is moved and stopped. CONSTITUTION:The zoom lens state detection means 38 for detecting the state of the zoom lens 12 is provided. When the means 38 detects that the lens 12 is moved and stopped, the focusing lens 13 is moved by the motor 35 to perform focusing. Namely, automatic focusing is not performed while the angle of view for photographing is decided by moving the lens 12, but the automatic focusing is performed at a stage where the movement of the lens 12 is stopped and the angle of view is decided. Thus, useless focusing is not performed while the angle of view is set, the automatic focusing before photographing is kept to the minimum, and excellent photographing is performed with a few actions. |
