<p>PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of electron emission and to prevent deterioration of characteristic by providing an emitter electrode, having a cone body electron emitting part, and an anode electrode, having a reverse cone body electron injecting part, further an insulating layer interposed between a potential barrier layer and a gate electrode. CONSTITUTION:In order to improve electron injecting efficiency by surely generating electric field concentration in an emitter electrode 10, a cone-shaped protrusion part 10b is provided. Next, a reverse directional cone body electron injected part 18a is provided in an anode electrode 18. Then, a potential barrier layer 12 is interposed respectively between the electron emitting part 10b and the electron injected part 18a. Further, a gate electrode 16 is provided in the peripheral vicinity of the point end of the electron emitting part 10b. An insulation layer 14 is interposed between the anode electrode 18 and the emitter electrode 10 and between the potential barrier layer 12 and the gate electrode 16. In this way, characteristic deterioration can be prevented by improving electron emitting efficiency.</p> |
