INFORMING METHOD FOR DOCUMENT ATTRIBUTE DATA TO HOST COMPUTER IN ELECTRONIC FILING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To attain the control of the document attribute data in the latest state by providing a document updating data storage mechanism which stores and controls the document updating information and a document updating data informing mechanism which extracts the document updating data obtained on and after the date designated in response to the request of a host computer and informs these extracted data. CONSTITUTION:The document updating data obtained on and after the data designated by a document updating data informing mechanism 8 are extracted out of those document updating data recorded to a document updating data storage mechanism 7 by the instruction of a host computer 13. These extracted data are reported to the computer 13 through a distributed processing mechanism 3. The computer 13 updates the document attribute data based on the document attribute data already under control and the reported document updating data and then maintains and controls the document attribute data equal to those of the electronic filing system side. As a result, the document attribute data can be controlled in the latest state at all times.
