<p>An unsatd. rubber (e.g. natural rubber, polybutadiene, EPDM) is vulcanized in the presence of a polyetherester, R1-O-(CH2-CH2O)-nCOR2 (where R1 is 1-4C alkyl; R2 is 4-10C alkyl with at least one C=C bond, and n is 2-6). Use of cpd. as claimed makes it possible to combine low Mooney viscosity of the starting compn. with a relatively high hardness of the eventual vulcanizate.</p> |
