Direct current electromagnetic device for containing steel or other liquid metal in a continuous casting plant with parallel rollers 11a-11b with a horizontal shaft 17, the said device 15 being placed to work with the ends of the said rollers 11a-11b and with the containing plate 14 and including conductive disc devices 16 placed at the respective ends of the said rollers 11a-11b, the said disc devices 16 being connected to sources of electrical power and working with an electromagnet 20.
