PURPOSE:To save the original material for a manganese dry cell and reduce its cost by increasing the utilization rate of MnO2 by packing an acetylene black which can adsorb a large quantity of hydrochloric acid with MnO2 in a proper ration. CONSTITUTION:An acetylene black 5g of which can adsorb at least 17ml of hydrochloric acid is prepared. Next, the acetylene black is blended with MnO2 in a ratio by weight of 16/84-13/87. The thus prepared mixture is then mixed with electrolyte to prepare a mixture which is then packed into a zinc can, thereby assembling a manganese dry cell. By the means mentioned above, even when a decreased quantity of MnO2 is used, it is possible to increase the utilization rate of MnO2 without causing any decrease of the discharge capacity of the dry cell. |
