<p>PURPOSE:To generate a deformable character with high picture quality by preventing the picture quality of a character after conversion from lowering by providing a font information generating means at a work station, and a font generating means at a printer. CONSTITUTION:A font data generating means 20 provided at the work station 2 generates the fundamental data of a font instructed by a user and its generat ing procedure, and transfers them to the printer 3 with authorization data. The font generating means 30 provided at the printer 3 generates the font based on font information transferred from a work station 2 side. In such a way, it is possible to perform deformation with high picture quality such as to change stroke width (picture width of KANJI(Chinese character), etc.) or to convert contour shape partially.</p> |
