<p>PURPOSE:To conduct easy matching of electron emission elements with modulating electrodes and prevent crosstalk or, etc., by integrally forming the electron emission elements and the modulating electrodes using a board as a medium, and providing potential regulating members between the electron emission elements adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION:Grid electrodes 3 and potential regulating members 7 are formed on a silica glass 5. Next, a SiO2 film is formed to obtain an insulating layer 6. Element electrodes 1, 2 are formed. The element electrodes 1, 2 are arranged in plural and the modulating electrodes 3 and the potential regulating members 7 are provided normal to lined electron sources. To keep voltage applied to the potential regulating members 7 to a minimum, a SiO2 film 6 is removed from the potential regulating members 7 near the emission section to expose the surfaces of the members. Next, a face plate which has ITO electrodes, a fluorescent substance 9 and a metal backing on a glass board 8 is provided on an electron beam generator via a glass spacer to complete an image display through frit glass sealing.</p> |
