PURPOSE:To shorten the maturing time of chemical thickening, and to improve the preparation, supply, coatability and impregnating properties of thermosetting resin paste by applying or atomizing water or steam to the inside of a support film before resin paste is applied. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower support films 31, 32 are fed supported by a pair of upper and lower endless belts 41, 42. Water or steam is applied or atomized previously to the insides of the upper and lower support films 31, 32 by a coater or an atomizer 51, 52 for water or steam. The insides of the upper and lower support films 31, 32, to which water or steam is applied or atomized, are coated with thermosetting resin paste containing a chemical thickening agent coaters 61, 62 for resin paste. Short fibers, which are cut in desired length and fall downward, fall to the inside of the support film 32 on the lower side coated with thermosetting resin paste, and are transferred in the direction of the arrow while being accumulated in a sheet shape. |
