<p>PURPOSE:To improve compatibility by exchanging an address, writing the current data to a memory block converted from a spare block and erasing the contents of the memory block converted into the address in the spare block when an access causing overwriting takes place. CONSTITUTION:When a overwriting access takes place in a cluster 1, rewriting is executed by exchanging a physical address A of the cluster 1 with a physical address D of a spare cluster 4, writing the current data to the cluster 4 converted into the address A, erasing the data of the cluster converted into the address D and exchanging the clusters. Accordingly, there always exists at least one spare cluster in a main memory part 10. When an erasing signal is supplied to these clusters 1, 2,..., entire stored contents are brought into the status of '1' to cause the data to be erased. Thus, the compatibility with the memory card using a static RAM(SRAM) can be obtained.</p> |
