PURPOSE: To enable familiar name search and investigation of a register, by identifying the entry name of a specified set as a suitable name most correspondent to an asserted name. CONSTITUTION: A register system 10 is composed of a register 32, register service agent(DSA) 22, one or more register user agent(DUA) 14 and multiplex system user(USER) 12 and further, one area or node is provided in a system or network larger than the register system 10. Besides, the USER 12 on this area or node of the system is provided with register service to all systems, and the DSAS 22 of the entire system are mutually linked through a register service protocol(DSP) 40. Thus, the name in the index of one register is passed through the entry and the position of the database entry can be decided.
