<p>PURPOSE: To statically protect articles being sensitive to electrostatics by providing soft sheet material wherein its inner surface has a metal layer jointed to a required antistatic polymer layer, and its outer surface has a specific surface resistibility. CONSTITUTION: In soft sheet material, its inner surface has a metal layer bonded to a required antistatic copolymer, and its outer surface has a high non- conductive surface resistibility not less than about 10<8>Ω/sq., and thereby the metal layer and the said antistatic layer prevent capacitive coupling of an article sensitive to electrostatics and can protect it statically. In addition, a polymer insulating layer may be placed between the metal layer and the antistatic layer.</p> |
