摘要 PURPOSE:To regulate easily the driving condition of an arc array type probe conducting a B scan with a longitudinal wave and a transversal wave used, by conducting regulation so that the display of a B scope be shaped in a correct circular-arc. CONSTITUTION:Although a reflecting part 1a is located at an equal distance from a point 1b of incidence, a distance therefrom calculated on the basis of a longitudinal- wave sound velocity expected in a longitudinal-wave flow detection area (A to B) set by selection of a driving region of an angle 0 to THETA1 of incidence is different from a distance therefrom calculated on the basis of a transverse-wave sound velocity expected in a transverse-wave flaw detection area (C to D) set by selection of a driving region at an angle THETA2 of incidence and on, and therefore a slippage occurs longitudinally in the area A to D. By adjusting a dial, a digital switch or the like on an operating panel, regulation of the transverse-wave and longitudinal-wave sound velocities and setting of angles of refraction for the driving areas of piezoelectric elements for the longitudinal and transverse waves are executed over again, so as to attain a correct B scope image. Thereby a correct driving condition for an arc array type probe 2 is selected and set.
