PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil which can coexist stably and compatible with a 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane refrigerant by incorporating a specific compound as a base oil. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula I (wherein R1 to R3 each represented an alkyl group or s hydrogen residue, provided that at least two of them are alkyl groups), a compound represented by formula II (wherein R4 to R6 have the same meanings as R1 to R3), and a compound represented by formula III (wherein R7 to R9 have the same meanings as R1 to R3) are reacted at 100 to 250 deg.C in the presence of an acid or metal salt catalyst, if necessary, whereby a base oil made of a compound represented by formula IV is obtained. This base oil, if need arises, is compounded with another lubricating oil and lubricating oil additives, to obtain a lubricating oil. |
