PURPOSE:To curtail the manhour for manufacture and the cost, and to reducing the operating physical force of an adjustment mechanism by allowing the lower face wall of a head rest frame to adhere closely to the inside surface of a foaming mold, and forming the part protruded from its lower face wall at the time of foaming of a pad layer. CONSTITUTION:By injecting a foaming resin liquid of urethane, etc., into a gap 14 between the outside surface of a head rest frame 11 and the inside surface of a foaming mold 10 and allowing it to foam in a state that the lower face wall 11a of the head rest frame 11 is allowed to adhere closely to the inside surface of the foaming mold 10 a pad layer 15 is subjected to foaming on the outside of the head rest frame 11, and a head rest main body is obtained. The lower face wall 11a of this head rest frame 11 is exposed, and the part 15a positioned on both sides of the lower face wall 11a of the pad layer 15 is protruded to the lower part than the surface of this lower face wall 11a. By covering the surface of the pad layer 15 of such a head rest main body with a trim cover 17, a head rest 18 is completed. |
