PURPOSE:To receive printing data of desired capacity while transmission data capacity is easily and variably set by providing a binarizing means obtaining the binary printing data corresponding to unit printing width and the first communication means returning printing data quantity exceeding the unit printing width corresponding to the request from the outside. CONSTITUTION:When printing data exceeding the unit printing width of multinozzle heads 3-6 being recording means is received, a binarizing means forms the binary printing data on the basis of the unit printing width of the recording means and the first communication means printer controller la transmits the printing data quantity exceeding the unit printing width corresponding to the request from the outside to allow the outside to recognize the printing data quantity exceeding the unit printing width inherently determined corresponding to a printer. When the transmission of the desired receiving data corresponding to the printing width of a recording means is required from the outside, the second communication means (the printer controller 1a serves) returns desired receiving data quantity to variably set transmission data capacity so as to correspond to the printing condition of the printer to which the outside is connected. |
