<p>Wet paper web moisture controlling device associated with the dehydrating wire in a paper making machine includes a pair of photoelectric cells spaced from each other in the direction of movement of the web and pre-set to respond to the different angles of reflection from the wet and partially dry paper web and connected to an electronic control circuit to vary the speed of dehydrating wire drive so as to maintain the pre-set moisture content of the paper web at a preselected point over the suction box.</p> |
