<p>Bulk material, esp. carboxy methyl cellulose, other cellulose derivs. of coffee, is convenyed downwards in contraflow to the upward flowing extraction agent, in closed spiral tubes. PArt of the extraction agent is also used as conveying fluid in a circuit for removing the extracted products. Preferred extraction agent is aliphatic alcohol. The carboxy methyl cellulose produced is used for pharmaceuticals, foods etc. where the impurity content must be is not >0.5 wt. %.</p> |
