PURPOSE:To eliminate a stray light phenomenon with simple constitution by making the track of a reflected light beam conic by the rotation of a rotary reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:A mirror surface 14a which constitutes the rotary reflecting mirror 14 does not cross the plane formed by extending the optical axes of respective optical waveguides at the incidence end of an optical waveguide array 15, and the track of the reflected light beam is made conic by the rotation of the rotary reflecting mirror 14. Namely, a light beam emitted by a light source 11 according to image information is deflected by the rotary reflecting mirror 14 at an equal angular speed and made incident on the optical waveguide array 15 in order, but the deflection track of the light beam is conic, so the light beam is made incident slantingly to the optical axes of the optical waveguides at all times. Consequently, the light beam which is made incident on a clad penetrates the clad slantingly and is projected from the flank of the optical waveguide array and never projected from the projected end. Consequently, the stray light phenomenon is eliminated with the simple constitution. |
