A heat exchange matrix is fabricated by press folding a sheet of material, e.g. steel, plastic etc. to form a series of rectangular channels of variable dimensions, isolated by interstitial welded sections, to slot into matching input and output channels similarly pressed and held between half stubs mating against similar matrices above and below to form a network, with communal exchange fluid, separated by intermediary perforated heat dissipators. Each section is moulded or pressed to form prefabricated sections with size variations to suit the application, utilising the same tooling requirement.
|
