PURPOSE:To make the movement of an interval smooth by inverting a chord to be sounded according to the range of a last chord and sounding the chord. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 which controls the whole operation is provided and a ROM 12 stored with a chord constituent sound table, a program, etc., a RAM 13 stored with various data generated during performance, etc., are arranged at the periphery of the CPU 10. Then a tone generator 16 which has wound generation channels for accompaniment sound generation, etc., is provided and a speaker which amplifies and outputs a musical sound signal generated by the tone generator 16 is installed. The CPU 10 performs highest-frequency sound selecting operation and inspects the range of the selected highest-frequency sound. At this time, the chord constituent sounds of the last chord are compared with the chord constituent sounds of the new chord and if those ranges are greatly different, the new chord is inverted. Consequently, the transition of the interval can be made smooth. |
