The impedance converter for wideband transmissions has an annular magnetic core (1) carrying a winding (2) which has the run number of winding turns for obtaining the required conversion ratio. Pref. the magnetic core (1) is in 2 annular halves (1a,1b) at least one of these carrying the winding (2). The widths of the two halves are equal so that each is wound with one winding half, or different to obtain a required ratio between the partial windings. USE - For conversion between 500 hm and 75 Ohm with increased accuracy.
