The object of the invention is a shielding cover (1) containing a tackle line (14), the end of which is secured with a claw (13) inside the shielding cover. The claw (13) is designed to grasp baskets (19) with radioactive materials like waste which are to be stored in a container (10) arranged beneath the shielding cover and is closable with a lid (20). The lid (20) is used at the same time as the closure for the shielding cover (1). The shielding cover (1) contains a laterally projecting housing section (4). In this section (4) the lid (20) is arranged to move between two end positions transversely to the longitudinal axis (6) of the shielding cover (1). In one end position the lid (20) reveals a lower aperture (8) in the shielding cover (1). In the other end position the lid (20) closes off the shielding cover (1). A fluid acceptance tank (44) is also arranged to move between two end positions in the housing section (4) beneath the lid (20). While the fluid acceptance tank (44) reveals the aperture (8) in one end position, it covers it in the other.
