<p>Process for the metallisation of ceramics in which a layer of the required metal is applied to the ceramic, the metal particles having previously been subjected to controlled superficial oxidation. The pulverised metal is in suspension in a medium which aids the application of the metal varnish to the ceramic. The ceramic covered by the metal varnish, is then made red hot until the metal particles on the surfaces of the ceramic are sintered and they react with the ceramic. Control of the reaction atmosphere leaves the ceramic unaltered, unlike previous processes.</p> |
