The precision stamping press has a guideless interchangeable tool in two halves fixed directly to the press punch and table respectively, while there are guide columns and bushes on the punch and table coacting outside the tool halves. There is at least one positioner (100) on the punch (1), and at least one (200) on the table (2) for the respective tool halves (10,20). Pref. the tool halves are fitted to assembly plates (30,40), engaged by the positioners.
