PURPOSE:To perform easily adjusting of a stretching width and draw ratio to a stretchable beltlike body, by a method wherein a space on a leading-in side and that on a leading-out side of a beltlike body of a pair of pinching. holding and conveying device are changed independently. CONSTITUTION:An inlet side space conversion mechanism changing an inlet side space of beltlike bodies F of stretching pulleys 3a, 3a, that is, the first space conversion device 4A is provided in a stretching width and draw ratio adjusting mechanism 4 by moving an inlet side of the beltlike bodies F of the stretching pulleys 3a, 3a in the direction of a width of the beltlike bodies F.
