PURPOSE:To recover the clean surface of a windshield glass by controlling a pressing means for a specified time when a washing fluid is sprayed over the windshield glass to reduce the pressing force of a wiper blade and wetting dirt adhered on the glass surface sufficiently with the washing fluid, and then wiping it off. CONSTITUTION:When small insect collides on the surface of a windshield glass 3 during running at high speed and its body fluid and dead body are adhered onto it, a washing fluid is sprayed over the glass surface 3 by means of a spraying means A to remove them. In this case, a pressing means C is controlled by a control means B to reduce the pressing force of a wiper blade 5 for wiping off the glass surface 3 for a specified time. By this method, when the glass surface 3 is wiped off by the wiper blade 5, the washing fluid is spreaded out by the wiper blade to form a fluid layer of the washing fluid on the glass surface and the dirt adhered on the glass surface is wet with the washing fluid to float it off the glass surface to rub off the dirt by the wiper blade.
