The female end fitting includes means for holding a male element with a locking strip (45) located between a bore (43) for guiding the male element (2) and an insertion bore (15), this strip being connected to the rest of the end fitting by an elastic hinge means (47) which allows it to assume a transverse position in which a central opening (48) which it includes is coaxial with the guide bore and with the insertion bore, the elastic hinge means tending to return the blade towards a position of equilibrium in which it is inclined with its opposite end from the hinge means (47) which is axially further away from the insertion bore (15) than the hinge means.
