The invention relates to a ball joint for coupling two sections of shaft, allowing an angular offset between the axes (12, 22) of these sections of shaft whilst ensuring the transmission of a rotational torque. It comprises a pair of rigid joining pieces (10, 20), respectively rotationally coupled with the sections of shaft (17, 27) to be coupled together, these pieces offering planar end faces (11, 21) carrying two rings of frontal teeth (13, 23) which mesh with each other. The teeth of the ring of each junction piece are in contact neither with those of the other ring nor with the end face of the other junction piece, the gaps (a, b) between teeth being filled by an elastic material (100) which is secured by bonding to the teeth over its entire surface of contact with these teeth. <IMAGE>
