Ski binding including a stop device (6) articulated on one side of the binding (1) and capable of being raised in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of the ski by deforming elastically through the action of an actuating pedal (7) when the boot is fitted. The stop element consists of two rigid rods (9 and 10) connected together by a claw (11) made from synthetic material and which can be deformed elastically, such that the energy necessary for releasing the stop element is accumulated in the claw by elastic deformation of the latter. <IMAGE>
