The pallet which has support feet at its corners can be assembled from two blanks which are made from paper-based material and which are provided with bending lines, cut-out sections, support flaps and insert devices so that when the blanks are assembled a pallet is formed which can be driven under by transport means from two opposite sides and which has an upper stacking area (2) and a lower abutment area (45) which is set spaced from the floor and from the stacking area to take the extension arms of the transport means. The two blanks are preferably made from corrugated board wherein the corrugations of one blank preferably run at right angles to the corrugations of the other. ADVANTAGE - The pallet is lightweight for easy handling and storage and is made from environmentally friendly material.
