Air cooled disc brake in which the brake ring comprises an inner and outer ring disc (4,4') with cooling ribs (5) facing each other and the steel sheet frame (1) is soldered between the cooling ribs (5). The brake ring is made of a cast rim of tensile strength 100-150 n/mm2 having a hypereutectic graphite in the shape of a C, a pearlitic matrix with max 5% ferrite, 3.8-4% C; 1.7-2.3% Si and corresponding to the wall thickness, pearlite stabilising elements.
