The sunroof is controlled by a reversible DC motor supplied via a polarity reversal switch (S1) for providing the supply polarity across the motor terminals corresp. to the required direction of rotation. The poalrity reversal switch (S1) lies in series with a relay contact of a DC relay (RS) which is opened or closed in dependence on the DC level applied to the relay control current circuit. The latter is coupled to an electronic relay operating stage with a storage characteristic responsive to the position of the sunroof when the polarity reversal switch (S1) is closed to holo the setting position until the sunroof reaches a reference position. Pref. the output circuit of the relay operating stage is connected in series with a position identification switch (S2) for the sunroof.
